Mario Boselli is the new President of the Italy China Foundation

Mario Boselli is the new President of the Italy China Foundation. Boselli - current President of the Italian Chinese Institute - succeeds Alberto Bombassei, who in June 2018 had collected the legacy from the hands of the founder Cesare Romiti. The handover took place in a particularly delicate historical moment, not only for Italy and China. The appointment took place yesterday afternoon, during a Board of Directors held by videoconference, in compliance with the security measures for the prevention and management of the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19.

Two vice presidents have been nominated alongside the new President, now at the helm of the Foundation, which has been working to promote economic, political and cultural exchanges between Italy and China since 2003. Riccardo Monti, former ICE President and current CEO of the Triboo group, was chosen as Executive VicePresident, to replace Diana Bracco, who maintains the role of member of the Board. Reconfirmed in the role of Vice President, Pier Luigi Streparava,President of Streparava Holding and current Vice President of the Italy China Chamber of Commerce.
In place of the resigning Vincenzo Petrone, the interim direction of the Foundation is entrusted to the Chief Operating Officer, Marco Bettin.

The new President, accepting the position, wanted to thank the outgoing leaders of the Foundation and said: “I am honored for this appointment by many qualified members of the Board Directors, to which I will dedicate my utmost commitment in a difficult moment, also linked to the Covid-19 crisis. The fact of being president of the Italian Chinese Institute will allow for a single direction in relations between Italy and China, returning to a situation that has given good results when both institutions were chaired by Cav. Lav. CesareRomiti ". "My forty-year presence in China, with different roles and responsibilities - added Boselli - will help me manage relations at various levels with the interlocutors of the People's Republic of China in the best possible way".
