"The Lure of Tradition" is the title of the cultural project that gathers some of the artists of Chinese origin who study, live and / or work in Carrara. The event, organized under the patronage of the Italy China Foundation, is the leader of a series of collective and solo exhibitions by Asian artists and inaugurates the new MiC Art Gallery.
The exhibition is visible from May 27th to June 9th at the MiC Art Gallery in via Nuova 23, in the historic center of Carrara.

The Lure of Tradition is a collective of painting and sculpture of young emerging artists of the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara selected by an internal commission to the Association and which will give them the opportunity to start their artistic journey, (for some it is the first exhibition experience) and get in touch with that sometimes difficult world of critical judgments and opinions that reinforce the frame of the artist.
Furthermore, the project represents an excellent contribution to the long-term development of local cultural scenes. The title of the exhibition is not the theme on which the artists will have to present their works but only a common thread linked to the abstract, conceptual, surreal style giving them the opportunity to express themselves according to their own inclination and artistic sensibility of the moment.
The MiC - Made in Carrara association
Founded in 2013 in Carrara, Tuscany, the MiC - Made in Carrara Association is a non-profit organization engaged in organizing art exhibitions by foreign artists of all nationalities, sometimes compared to stimulate, among visitors , deep reflection cues generated by geographical and cultural differences. Through art he builds a bridge to bring together trends, customs, models, experiences that are so different from each other but not for this reason distant and inaccessible.
The association in recent years has organized exhibitions in different locations, but this year's novelty is a dedicated exhibition space where you can finalize some of its objectives, an art gallery (MiC Art Gallery) whose inauguration will be presented and valued from the exhibition in question.
Mic Art Gallery is located in the historic center of the city, usable to all citizens and the many tourists who pass through each year to admire the secular art that has made us known in the world: sculpture.
