China International Import Expo in Shanghai: opportunities for Italian companies

The Italy China Foundation, the Italian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and AICE organize the collective participation for Italian companies at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), scheduled from 5 to 10 November 2018 in Shanghai (click here to download the brochure of the event).
As envisaged by the new course of national economic policy and following the recommendation of President Xi Jinping, China is focusing on growth in domestic consumption and the import of high quality products is a strategic factor. To this end, the China International Import Expo was jointly established by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government.

The event is carried out with extensive Chinese institutional support and with the support of international organizations including the World Trade Organization, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. Organized by the CIIE Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd is the first fair in China dedicated exclusively to the importation of products and services that encourages the presence of foreign exhibitors.

Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., in February 2017, Fondazione Italia Cina, the Italian-Italian Chamber of Commerce and AICE are actively involved in the promotion of the event and in organization of the collective participation of Italian companies.

The fair is structured in various sector pavilions: products (consumer electronics & appliances, apparel, accessories & consumer goods, automobile, high-end intelligent equipment, food & agricultural products, medical equipment) and services (tourism, emerging technologies, culture & education, creative design and service outsourcing).

Each pavilion will host an exhibition area dedicated to Italy, where exhibiting companies will be grouped together. In these spaces, Fondazione Italia Cina, the Italian-Italian Chamber of Commerce and AICE will coordinate the Italian commercial presence at the event, contributing to provide greater visibility for Italian exhibitors towards media and visitors.

The official costs of participation have been fixed in USD 300 / sqm (raw space) and USD 3,000 / stand (standard booth 9 sqm); however, by virtue of the formal agreement signed with the Organizing Bodies, exhibitors who will participate with our coordination will be able to benefit from favorable conditions currently being defined.

Specifically, companies will benefit from:

Direct presence at the fair in the area for Italian exhibitors;
Insertion of presentation in the catalogue;
Promotion and invitation to Chinese buyers;
Assistance and support both in the preparatory phases and during the fair.

To participate you must fill out the following application form with the information sheet and return it to the address by May 25th.
