Milan Media House is looking for a Chinese Media Editor to join the content team based at Casa Milan. The CME will play a critical role within the club’s content team, assisting the media department club-side with the production and curation of new and interesting features for the Chinese platforms Weibo, WeChat, website, including story development, sourcing of imagery and video and publishing of content. He will work closely with the Milan China team and the AC Milan digital agency in China, being their point of contact in Milan for the production of content tailored to the Chinese market.
Day to day tasks
Work alongside the club’s editorial and production teams to generate interesting and innovative tailored made content, including the creation of image and graphic-based features.
Be responsible for the overall running of the club Chinese channels.
Publishing on the Chinese platforms - packages and tagging content (Chinese language).
Provide project assistance to members of the Milan China team as required.
Manage interviews, Q&A sessions and live news bulletins.
Assist with match day coverage, which will involve working outside of normal business hours.
Support the analysis and deciphering of data and report back to the Club. Users, content and commercial data will inform and guide the club’s Chinese media strategy.

Chinese mother tongue-level speaker. Fluent in English and Italian speaking is highly preferred.
Degree standard of education, preferably journalism or media related.
Experience in editorial sports journalism and/or sports writing
Experience of video and graphics editing.
Social media and digital savvy.
Experience with analytics and data.
Self-starter – able to improve and problem solve on-the-spot; able to prioritise their own workload against business needs and comfortable with tight goals and deadlines.
A completely open mind when it comes to commitment and hours – this role will involve working regularly in the evenings and at weekends.
Strong organisational skills – able to maintain very high levels of accuracy and detail whilst keeping the tempo up.
Self-starter when it comes to prioritising workloads against business needs, goals and deadlines.
Ability to seek out information independently from a variety of sources including senior members of the team.
Ideally, we would like to see the Chinese editors hold a detailed knowledge of the Club, its history and its current squad. Further, working knowledge of video and graphics editing.
The role is based at on-site at Casa Milan.
