China Awards 2016: the winners of the 11th edition


Thirtytwo winners in five categories: 23 Italian companies, 5 Chinese, an important actor and Italian director, a former soccer star and coach, a jazz pianist known internationally and a sinologist /movie director. It is the eleventh edition of the China Awards statements, which were delivered Thursday, December 1 at the Museum of Science and Technology "Leonardo da Vinci" in Milan.
The event was organized by the Italy China Foundation and MF / Milano Finanza with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of the China Chamber of Commerce and with the partnership of the Chamber of Italian trade in China. Its creation was made possible by the valuable sponsorship of DHL, Intesa Sanpaolo, Peter Coricelli, Bureau Van Dijk and BTS School of Chongqing.

During the event have been awarded the Italian and Chinese companies who have best been able to seize the opportunities presented by the two markets, thus giving visibility to several success stories are not always known to the general public.

Creators of value (COBO, Esseti Pharmaceuticals, Gamos Group, Giuseppe Zanotti Group, GWA, The Cherry Hill, Rodolfo Comerio 1878 Ta Italy, Young Digitals), Top Investors in China (Danieli and c., Fincantieri, Pelliconi), Top Investors in Italy (Gusella, Huawei, H3G, Joly Wood Sunwatt, Lovol Arbos), Capital Elite (Alibaba Italy, Brembo, BonelliErede, Chemtech Group, Fabbri 1905, Umbria Jazz Foundation, IMA, IMG, Nordmeccanica, Subalpino, University of Siena) are the categories of awards that have been awarded to 28 important Italian and Chinese companies (awarded prizes and categories list attached). The Golden Lion, awarded to personalities from the world of culture, sport and entertainment who have distinguished themselves in relations with China, was handed to Carlo Verdone, Ciro Ferrara, Danilo Rea and Sergio Basso.

"Eleven years have passed from the delivery of the first China Awards - said Cesare Romiti, President of Italy China Foundation - but their importance has grown with the passing years, as more China turns out to be a key partner, intended to become the first economy in the world".
The delivery of the China Awards 2016 was followed by a Charity Dinner, whose proceeds will be donated to support the earthquake victims in central Italy. Three projects to be supported that have been selected: the Psy + non-profit association made up of volunteers who offer psychological support for earthquake victims, the purchase of teaching materials for two schools in Norcia and Cascia (Pg), the reconstruction of a residence for the elderly in Castelsantangelo sul Nera (Mc). Representatives of the communities involved have spoken to the evening to tell the situation in their territories.
