Exactly 40 years from the beginning of the opening and economic reforms, China today is no longer the world factory, but an industrial power that aims at the technological advancement in the main high-tech sectors, in direct competition with Europe . After having wisely benefited from the economic globalization carried out by the great Western multinationals, today it stands as an advocate of multilateralism and a new era of global integration, in which it wants to be a protagonist in the definition of institutions, rules and standards.
