Eat'Safe project, the second phase is on the go

In April 2017 the second phase of the Eat'Safe project began, which involves the realization of two projects as agreed in the consensus document.

The research work will focus on two main themes:
- Comparative analysis of the safety and traceability regulatory systems in Italy and China, with particular reference to three specific categories: fresh and processed meat products; Dairy products; Wheat-paste industry.
- Monitoring and evaluation of the risks associated with the use of chemical agents in the food chain, with particular regard to three categories of contaminants: Pesticides; Mycotoxins; Veterinary drugs.
Two distinct work groups, trained by industry experts from Italian universities and research centers, alongside Chinese counterparts, are working on setting up research work. The Italy China Foundation is currently engaged in the identification of subjects from the business, industrial and institutional sectors to be involved in this second phase in order to:
- Ensure the Project as much visibility as possible and the broadest spectrum of operational repercussions
- Set the foundation for further stages in dealing with related issues
